I saw a slight bend in the stern of my Cheasapeake 17, but I know what I did (it was so slight I've done nothing about it). IMHO the curve resulted from 3 aspects

1.the boat in first taped on the inside in an upright position - this makes it very difficult to sight the keel line

2.the stern area on the Cheasapeake is very narrow - therefore any variation will bend the hull in one direction or the other

3.in my case when I wired my panels together the panels did not line up perfectly - specifically trying to match up 2 pieces of plywood coming together at an angle you tend to get slipping to offset the corners - next time I'll sand the corners.
