: Paul: We've had great success using Z-Spar Captain's Clear, Z-Spar Flagship,
: and McCloskey's over MAS epoxy. The varnish has always been dry to the
: touch, although probably soft, after 10-12 hours regardless of humidity.
: Certainly higher temperature will dry things faster and make for more
: interesting application.

Hi Michael,
I saw your response related to McCloskey spar varnish. I recently purchased some McCloskey spar varnish. I got 2 gallons cheap because the store carrying it was going out of business. What has your experience been with this product? If I put 4 - 6 coats of this varnish on a kayak, will it provide enough protection for my boat. The boat will reside inside the garage when not in use.
Or, should I reconsider and get the Captains or Flagship varnish?
Your help is greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks,
Rich
