Speaking of discards... One of our white plastic resin garden chairs broke a leg last weekend. I'm planning to cut the legs and most of the backrest off to make a seat pan. I've already drilled drainage holes in all of the chairs' seats, which is, BTW, a good idea for seats in boats (3/16" holes in the lowest spots of the seats)
The discarded legs are neat looking plastic angle channels that eventually will be good for something!
