I wasn't speaking of two different types of craft. There are already inherent differences that one must learn; for example, you lean a motorcycle into a turn, but you lean a kayak away from a turn. If I get on a motorcycle, I expect it will operate like other motorcycles. Imagine if a person learned to drive a motorcycle where the front brake and clutch levers were reversed. You'd be okay until you got on another bike. Of course, switch kayak rudder cables would most likely have less catastrophic results.
