How much of the epoxy did you use. I can build a Guillemot with less than 1.5 gallons. I often get calls from first time builders that barely have enough with 2.25. Not all of this excess actually get on the boat. Some is wasted in the mixing pot, some gets sanded off, other drips on the floor, but a lot ends up on the boat and is quite heavy.

I would expect you to use less than a gallon for a Chesapeak (Very rough guess).
