I love my puppy dearly, BUT SHADOW IS A BIG P.I.T.A. in my kayak. She loves riding with me, but she gets a bit too "into it". She leans over the side when she sees fish and tries to watch them. She keeps turning around to get a better view of whatever side she is not facing, and she loves swimming too much to keep either of us dry for any predictable length of time.

I think I will probably build a triple with a big open cockpit so she has more room to sit inside, or I will build a double with a center dog-cockpit. Maybe I'll build a "doggy-trailer" kayak for her to ride in by herself.

I dunno--if your dog doesn't _really_ like water, it might work, because he'll be more inclined to stay in the boat and not move around too much.
