Kevlar's got wonderfull tensile strength, but it's pretty weak in the abrasion department. I don't know how it stacks up against glass fibers for friability, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if it's much lower. The only way I know if it being able to be used in high abrasion conditions is to blend it with other agents specifically intended for abrasion resistance.
