Your correct, although it will be going at least 12knots and the beams will be 12ft wide, air residence isn't much of a factor.

But is wave impact that you have to worry about. Contrary to popular belief multis don't flip sideways they pich-poll, or stove one of the floats. They can also flip if the crossbeams hit a wave, so the beams are steamlined to minimise this.

NOTE this is not done on catamarrans.

The stock CLC only has one sail, so it only goes about 6-8kts. I'm hoping to at least double if not triple that.

Beside I _really_ like the "Bird of Prey" look to it. :)
