Keep in mind that a surfobord turns on different principles than a boat. Actuall, when a windsurfer goes from displacement to planing, turning reverses. It starts out like a boat, and as speed increases, it turns like a surfboard. I'm not sure what hydrodynamics are in effect, but the design may not do what you expect, and I just wnted to give a heads up.
