Do not used the standard tack-cloths before epoxy. The wax or whatever it is they use is not compatible with epoxy. MAS says in capital letters: "DO NOT USE ACETONE, A TACK CLOTH, OR SOLVENT" instead they recommend Isopropyl alcohol or water on a clean rag. The thought with the solvents is they are often recycled and may have incompatible impurities. I have wet down my boats with water with no problems. This does raise the grain, but that is why I do it. I sand lightly after.
