I built a skin boat version, based on Platt Monforts "Rob Roy" design. I finished it only recently, and have only had it in the water once.....The only thing I have to compare is my Perception "Keowee" kayak, a real tub....the Rob Roy is definitely faster, seems to track well. I'll know more after I've used it more extensively.
