Don,

For quite some time now I have had the same thoughts as yourself concerning the possibility of a "rendezvous" for those of us on the Pacific side of the country.

The West Coast certainly has some of the nicest places for sea kayaking that I know of and there is certainly a keen interest in "home building" kayaks.

The response to a West Coast Wood Kayak & Canoe Rendevous would be enthusiastic to say the least! I am currently in the process of organizing just such a gathering for 1999. At this time, I am leaning towards the sea kayaking and wooden boat building mecca of the Pacific Northwest.

If any of you fellow builders out there would be interested in this event or have any suggestions/preferences please feel free to contact me.

I will keep the bulletin board informed of our progress as the location and time frame solidifies.
