Interesting design. Just a few questions... Why are the side grooves so much wider than the thickness of the tabs? Also, the tabs seem to fall somewhere near the bottom of the grooves (see pics 1 and 4), instead of being as close to the top of the grooves as possible, making me wonder that if when you mount the rails, the foot pegs will be so loose as to become disengaged from their notches. I realise that a certain amount of clearance (for rotation of the tab in the groove) is required in the grooves when readjusting the foot pegs, was that much really necessary, or was it a result of "designing on the fly"? :-)
