Cedar strip Kayak

I Have finished striping, and sanding. I would like some advice now. Should I start fiberglassing,? or should I make the coaming first? I am constructing the coaming from the cedar strips. Should I reinforse the underside of the coaming.? All advice will be greatly appreciated.
