My advice would be to start on the coaming first. This would be because i started with my coaming and found it easier. One problem if you did not do the coaming first could be that the fiberglass might get in the way of your work. I also think that doing the coaming first would make the fiberglas to lay soomthere than if you did it the opposite way. I am only sixteen and have helped build over 2 little auk kayaks so you may want someone with more experiance to answer your questions.
