At first I thought it'd be hard to do, but then I re-thought it, and realized (as you did) it'd be simple. I just left the whole message with the ful evolution (convolution?) of thought, which, as you pointed out, just made it confusing.

I wasn't thinking about the fact that actual panels were sitting there right in front of you. I was trying to go from a solid body to a sheet body to individual flattened sheets, as I would on a computer.

You can sometimes buy wallpaper cheaply (with or w/o glue), which could be a good pattern (if it's chosen for the right properties).
