speaking of toxicity, here's a post on wood toxicity. Humm...don't you guys use cedar?

On the subject of wood toxicity, and being the owner of 2 cedar boats (one western red, the other Alaskan yellow) many species of wood are toxic to varying degrees. I never do any cutting or sanding without a respirator or at least a facemask. The toxicity is what makes cedar so rot resistant, and also gives it that wonderful smell. Simple self preservation would dictate care in working with the stuff.
