I dont waste any epoxy. It's fairly easy to get a feel for how far it will go. I use any leftover to precoat, for example. I dont even waste the foamy epoxy that squeeges out of cloth as you spread it. I first read that you should waste that when I got Nick's book. I've never seen a cloudy problem using it up. Sometimes it takes a minute to clear, and I usually will go over that part with a new batch anyway. Or, I'll leave the cloudy waste in the bottom of the cup and mix a new batch into it. The only time I ever waste is if I mix too much schmutz.

Of course, I havent tried stripping with it...
