Hello all! I've been a long time lurker to this BBS and must say that you all have been very helpful in this building process. I'm working on a Guillemot SK and have it almost stripped in just over a week. (I ran out of strips so I'm sittin' and waitin' until Nick sends me more.) Most of the boat has gone pretty smoothly with a couple of exceptions. Please forgive my terminalogy here, I'm a woodworker not a boater. The bow and stern at the keel line gave me a great deal of grief. I tried to alternate the crossing pieces but still found that I had huge gaps at the ends of them. (1/2" -3/4") What I'm wondering is if I can fill them with epoxy and then make a keel strip to cover up the flub. If so, does anyone have any tips to make the keel strip wrap around the keel at the points of the craft and then flatten out at the bottom? I fiddled around with 1/2" strips but couldn't get them to make the complex curve. Any other thoughts to make this look nice will be greatly appreciated. Second thought: How big of gaps can be filled nicely between strips? How do you fill the gaps between light colored wood? I know I can slap epoxy in them and be done with it but I am a perfectionist and would really like this to look its best. I would like to post some pics when I get done but don't have a web page. Would someone be willing to let me tag my pics onto their web page so I can show off my work? Thanks again for all the advice that I've been stealing from other people's posts. I hope to get some of my own soon. Paul Woolson
