GASP has a WebPage on how to carry your dog with you in a basket.
the latest issure of Canoe&Kayak shows a custom 'skirt' fitted to the after hatch opening with the owners dog poking his head out. :)
Be carefull though some dogs will hurt themselves rather than mess in their owners boats.
