I have either sanded or given the surface a quick wipe with aceatone in between coats of resin and or varnish which is what they have recomended were I bought the west system suplies. Last night after posting this question I had a look at the stir stick I used a couple days prior for stiring the varnish which was raw cedar stripping, it too had a funny consistancy when the piece was sanded and it had been sitting for over 48 hours ,it kind of looked like cornmeal and a bit sticky. The product cliams to be fast drying with no times given for what there calling fast so unless I can talk to the folks at "rule" or hear different I think I'll just return the product and try something else. Thanks for the help.
