> Woody Look for the 1/8" foam rollers at your paint store. I'm building a stitch&glue Pygmy Osprey, and have had good luck just following the directions with the kit. It called for 10 of these rollers (although I have used about 14 so far). I'm using System Three epoxy and it is absolutely the easiest and best I've worked with so far. After laying out the 6# glass, saturate it sparingly just to get it wet against your wood (which should have a hardened coat of epoxy before laying out any fiberglass anyway), squeegee of the excess (if you put it on sparingly you won't have much to squeegee anyway). They say not to use any of the squeegee'd resin as it is full of bubbles, but if you're careful and don't wait a long time, I've found it blends in anyway without the usual white coloring. The trick is to eventually get all the glass covered where you don't see the texture, maybe 2, 3 or even 4 coats, but the more you put on the heavier your boat will be. Runs are inevitable, so don't worry at this point, wet sanding will take care of that later. Main thing is making the glass do its job of giving the boat strength, but not so much overkill that the kayak will weigh 60 pounds or more.
