Forgive my interruption.....this conversation is well out of my realm of any really useful commentary (I'm just building my first attempt at Mr. McCarthy's wee lassie II), but I thought I'd add this..just fyi....There is a UK website called Selway Fisher Designs that has several boat plans available for the home builder, most of them being sail boats, and many of the plans are desinged for strip building. From this site, there is also a link to a builder of a strip built pocket cruising sailboat around 20', with some pics of the process. This method seems to be used alot in the UK, as I've seen strip built sailboats in other UK publications. I'd like to eventually build a small pocket cruiser using strip building methods,so I've been looking around a bit. BY THE WAY, MR. SCHADE...I GOT YOUR BOOK AND IT IS GREAT...HOPE TO BUILD A KAYAK SOON....THANKS.
