Thanks for the comments. I have paddled the boat in small ocean swells and some two - three foot waves and find that with the snug fit it handles really well. I'll have to wait for warmer weather before I take it out in the surf, but I suspect it will be just fine. It's really a fun boat. As for the Greenland paddle, for me it's the only way to go in any conditions.
