I built Nicks stitch and glue several months ago. I have used it several times for camping since then, and decided that I would like to do a strip built similar to the stitch and glues design. ( I plan on sending pictures to Nick when I learn to take decent ones. The boat is now my girlfriends.) So I rounded the forms, added a few feet and more volume to the bow. By incorporating the things I liked from several boats I now have my own creation. My next project is a skin on frame two person also similar to the stitch and glue. If I had actually seen an expedition or a guillemot in person I would probably have bought the plans and built one of them. As it is I guess you could say I have hybred guillemots. I must thank Nick again for this board and the offsets for the s&g. If anyone has a Guillemot in the North Carolina area please let me know, I would love to see one.
