And we are probably more confused But you can help us help you if you'll say what boat you are building, and where you got these parts from. Without seeing the dimensions of the pieces, though, I have two guesses. The first is that you have extra parts. The second is that they might get laminated together (4 thin strips + glue = I thick strip) Paul Jacobson
