They offer a variety of shoes from the Aqua Beach mesh shoe to the higher zip 4mm neoprene canoe-kayak boot. The thing that all Okespores have in common is a significant heel cup which the outer part of your heel will love dearly after several hours of resting on the hull. Okespors may be found at better windsurfing shops and in the Nantahala Outdoor Center Catalog (800-367-1997). For harsh midwest winter paddling, I use a Thinsulate liner from a Sorel type boot covered by a pair of military overboots. They ain't pretty, but they are light and warm. Another consideration is the new Muckluck neoprene sock from Choata. The sock comes up over the calf, is waterproof, and is pile lined. It can be used with sandals or with a variety of water shoes.
