I wanted to thank everyone that responded to my original post. I just finished glassing the outside of the hull and it went real well. There are only some very, very minor problems; you know, the kind that only the builder will every notice.

I utiilzed much of the advice that was given, and it was very helpful. A few comments: 1. The suggestion of using a brush to smooth out the dry cloth worked well.

2. I went the plastic spreader route, instead of a roller or brush. I didn't having any trouble saturating the cloth.

3. I am glad I covered the floor under the boat. There was a lot of drips while doing the area near the sheer.

4. Several people mentioned good lighting. My garage had four 75 watt bulbs. I added four more fixtures and put 200 watt bulbs in all eight. It made a huge difference.

5. One of the best tips was not to fuss to with the glass after you saturate it. The epoxy seemed very uneven after I would saturate an area. I figured I would go back and even it out after I finished the side; but when I went back the epoxy had evened itself out as if by magic. I had very little touch up after I finished a side.
