If you used cove and bead strips and stripped with the cove side up, these gaps will fill in when you glass. The epoxy will run into the gaps and get caught there because the cove will hold the resin.
If you want to fill the gaps with dookie schmutz you have to force the putty into the seams with a putty knife.
