I stripped with the cove side up and it worked pretty well for the exterior glassing. On the interior (hull) I had a lot of problems with air bubbles as the epoxy started to firm up. I'm guessing this is because the cove is *down* when glassing the interior and the epoxy can't run in to displace the air.
For the deck interior I mixed up some thin dookie schmutz and injected it into as many gaps as possible. By placing the deck on its side the voids filled pretty easily. I won't know until I glass it if this will help avoid the air bubbles.
Things are still progressing faster than I had thought (this is supposed to be a winter project). Being off work this week allowed me to get a lot done...
