Nick and others do not advocate a seal coat for strippers, but how about Okume plywood? The hardwood layers probably dont absorb epoxy as fast as cedar. Will the epoxy used in the cloth wetout have enough penetration into the hardwood as it does with cedar on the stripper? It would seam that a sealer coat would help assure a thorough penetration. Has anyone had the same success with S&G not using seal coat that seams to work for softwood strippers?
