I used tooth picks on my Pygmy Coho. The square ones work best. Cut one in half, tap each half lightly (no glue) into the wire holes. Cut them off with a pair of diagonal cutters and sand smooth. The slight color contrast is a nice touch and they look like mini wood plugs. This also helps make the holes round again where the wire has pulled them out of round.
