I am using the offsets given in Nick's book to obtain the form for the Guillemot . When I incorporated the upper deck form offsets in the cockpit area that were provided in the errata, I found that form 9 and 10 did not appear to be fair. The point 8,5.22 on form 9, and the point 8,4.46 seems to be the cause of the unfairness. Is this the way the form is supposed to look? The only thing I can think of is that this point shows a transition from the high bow section to the low stern section through the cockpit area. I just what to be sure before I start cutting the forms.
On another point, I noticed that on the keel line where form 2 meets the bow end form that the offsets for the same point in the Guillemot offsets table and the Guillemot end forms offset table are quite diffent (over 1/4 inch). -.041 as opposed to -.68. Is this incorrect or do you just fair the forms with a plane once they are assembled to fair them exactly?
