Well, there's alot to be said for instant gratification. Many of the digital cameras have the LCD display to allow you to evaluate your shot and either discard it or keep it. This was an important feature to me when I was evaluating which camera to buy.

I think that for web publishing, a digital camera is the way to go. The MX-700 comes with editing software (PhotoDeluxe), which lets you compensate for poor composition, lighting, etc (which I must do).

The MX-700 doesn't have interchangable lenses, but I believe that there are some digital cameras that do.
