Epoxy: Graphite Bottom - Varnish?

I put a graphite/silica/epoxy bottom on nmy S&G. Do I need to put a layer of UV protectant on the bottom to make sure the epoxy does not degrade?

Varnish will nto stick to an epoxy/graphite mix
