Re: Strip: VCP Hatch leaking

A leaking VCP is almost unheard of. Fill the hatch compartment with several gallons of water and rurn the boat over to see if its the hatch cover that is leaking. Sometimes people don't have the hatch down fully seated which would cause a leak. And if it the back oval hatch, you have to make sure that the outer lip of the rubber cover is seated inside the deck wood and not laying on top of it - causing the hatch cover to not seat fully. I had this happen on one of my boats and went back and sanded the oval (wood opening) a tiny bit larger.
