My Subaru has pieces of metal front and rear under the bumpers with holes in them. This is where they tie the car down during transportation from Japan to here. Volvo must have something like that.
I put one end of S-hook through the holes and the loop on the end of my tie-down rope on the other end.
My earlier car had metal facias beneath the bumper. I put hooks on them at each corner of the car. I used the hooks that are not threaded but are attached to a square of metal with 4 screw holes in it.
Whatever you do, hooks are better than eyes. You leave a loop in the end of your lines and it is easier to catch the hook with the loop than to always be tying and untying a rope to an eye.
