: How much epoxy is needed for an end pour? I'm down to my last little bit of
: resin and hardener and am too cheap to buy more. Was thinking of putting in
: grab loops in bow and stern...is there another way that is simple and uses
: less epoxy?
I did am absolute minimum end poor to seal the seams. 1 ounce, poured in through the hatch on a hot day. The kayak was up on its side (I'd just finished sealing the inner seam on that side) and I tipped it end down, still on its side, and added the epoxy. As mentioned, take a look at the angle of repose and you can get by with very little epoxy.
As for grab loops and handles, I used Ross Leidy’s loops and just ran a toggle handle through them. Much easier, though the loops will be harder to install if you’ve already joined the shear seams.
