I have an alder fire burning down to coals right now in an hour a venison roast will go on it, shortly after a side of Chinook salmon w/maple syrup black pepper glaze. I'm figuring that about three beers and it'll be time to eat. Pumpkin pie is great, BUT, a pie made out of our native blackberries is in another class altogeather. life's tough here in the Pacific Northwest, but somehow we manage. Oh, while wandering around yesterday I got a couple of mallards and a bunch of masutakes they will play a large part in the meal also.
