*My boat is about 70Lb including bilge pump ,rudder etc,etc,I cant really feel the diffrence in the water ,but I've already put my back out once from lifting it the wrong way.A heavy boat will put you off a lot of short paddles,its just too much trouble.Please,do yourself a favor ,THINK LIGHT when building.

*Maybe 2 x 4oz on hull may be lighter,I know you need less fill coats for 4oz than 6oz.Someone else out there in cyberspace may have done it, and can comment further .
