: I could use some advice on high capacity hauling techniques: With the
: acquisition of our 3rd boat this summer, I have run into a capacity
: problem on top of our Jeep Cherokee. I wonder if any of y'all have tried
: the "J" cradles and what you think of them? I am thinking about
: this configuration: 66" Yamima bars with the 16' 24" beam
: Eddyline on the Hully-rollers in the middle and the Pygmy boats outboard
: on each side on the Hull Raiser J cradles. (an artic tern and coho)
: Yeah, I know I need a trailer but I don't have the money or the storage space
: for it.
: Thanks in advance for your thoughts
Mike
Have you tried the Archives with a search for Kayak Trailers or just trailers.??
Seems about a year ago we had a thread on here with several ideas for trailers and one or two were the fold up style from either Sears or Harbor-Freight...
It could be leaned up against a wall when not in use..
Many folks have had good reviews from using J cradles. Roll Leidy has a construction series on his web-site for making them.

Others have used them and being a Holiday weekend, it may be Monday before you get too many responses.. Hang in there.. and just take a gander at Ross' site... He's a pretty crafty individual... Great Web-Site..!!
