Early this morning 14 kayaks were launched into the DalaRiver for the annual (11 years!) advent-paddling. -3degC, light snowfall and totally calm. The paddling goes to the village Torsång and the very beautiful mideveal church.
When we arrive there is a little celebration with glüewein or Glögg and cookies. Some people more joined the party, they were unable to paddle due to injuries
After that there is a little march with the fiddler to the church where almost all attends the sermon. They have reserved seats for the paddlers.
I, personally, have more symphaty with Wakan Tanka so I prefer not to join.
On the paddling we saw two foxes, four roe-deers, Canada-geese and some swans on the shore and on the water.
This was probably the last paddling this year, but you never know..... new years eve can give nice conditions....
