: Early this morning 14 kayaks were launched into the DalaRiver for the annual
: (11 years!) advent-paddling. -3degC, light snowfall and totally calm. The
: paddling goes to the village Torsång and the very beautiful mideveal
: church.
: When we arrive there is a little celebration with glüewein or Glögg and
: cookies. Some people more joined the party, they were unable to paddle due
: to injuries
: After that there is a little march with the fiddler to the church where
: almost all attends the sermon. They have reserved seats for the paddlers.
: I, personally, have more symphaty with Wakan Tanka so I prefer not to join.
: On the paddling we saw two foxes, four roe-deers, Canada-geese and some swans
: on the shore and on the water.
: This was probably the last paddling this year, but you never know..... new
: years eve can give nice conditions....

That is just too cool, Richard. Your comment about "unable to paddle due to injuries" gave me pause; is kayaking there that dangerous, that you're losing paddlers to injury? :=)
