I'd do it in the backyard too.

Basically, I have a basic circular saw, I'd think I'd need to frame up a level and sturdy table, cut a slot in it for the blade, and fix the saw underneath with some way to lock the power on. Not at all sure about configuration for guide board (fence?) fingerboards, etc. Risto's setup looked clever with that spring from a trampoline tensioning one of the guides.

I've got a 20' x 10' hoophouse, I'd store strips in there under my sawhorse table.

You don't have to use full length strips do you? I can't see bringing home 18' boards strapped to my car. Might not be the prettiest, but you can use 8' strips and butt join them?

This might be one for next winter. Probably need to study up on this or buy a table saw although I don't know where in the heck I'd keep it.
