: I foolishly glassed the outside of of my deck then left it sit for couple
: weeks before glassing the inside. Now I have a warped deck that I can't
: get to fit on the full. I did not realize that it had warped until after I
: had glassed the inside. I have tried to strech it out but it just pops
: back. Does anybody have any idea what to do?
I think heat combined with brute force, may be the way for you.
I discovered that my deck, when glassed inside and out, would warp as much as two inches midships (lengthwise, as it was not warped crosswise), when it was cold. When i had it sitting in the sun for about an hour, it would "warp" itself nicely into place.
I hot-glued in spacers and added luggage straps to keep it in place, one day when it was especially hot, and after that it stayed so much un-warped, that i could strap it completely in place, on a cold day. Keep it strapped until you take it inside and heat up the living room, to get the last details in place, for glassing the deck and hull together.
