: Now I have a warped deck that I can't get to fit on the hull.
How much are you off and in which direction? If it's up/down I've seen guys handle as much as a 2" gap ... if it's right/left that ain't so easy. If it's a vertical gap I'd just use some ratchet straps. If your deck is a bit less wide than your hull you can install some spreaders ... if it's a lot off it's gonna be tough goin'.
I know it won't help you now but, I don't like the idea of cold bending the strips during construction and the residual stresses that result from it. If I can lay the strip easily ... I do nothing ... but if it needs a little persuasion I bend/twist it with a heat gun. My OI sat for several weeks with just the outside glassed and the max vertical gap was about 1/8" and the max transverse gap was about 3/16".
