Well, the big day came early this week in the shop. The speedster car body was lowered onto the model A frame. Using the engine hoist to support the heavy end, we were able to lower the whole thing without much trouble.

Due to excellent design, it sat exactly as it should have just like the CAD progam said it would. Once it was on, we had to make some cuts so that the frame could extend out the sides, the engine hood removed, the "cockpit" cut out for the seat placement.

Once it was sitting there without any support, it was hard not to just sit back and admire. I'm sure the builder had the same feeling as I did. I couldn't wipe the grin off my face. Wow, it was like finding a men's magazine when we were boys and sharing it around the schoolyard.

Since the photo, the hood has been removed, the cockpit has been cut, the floorboards and internal board frames inserted, which give it structural support. We have decided to try and make our own molding for the edges and steam bend them to take the curves. they will be epoxied on the edges.

Within the next few weeks, it should be ready for it's inaugural roll out of the shop into the daylight for better photos.
