: Well, the big day came early this week in the shop. The speedster car body
: was lowered onto the model A frame. Using the engine hoist to support the
: heavy end, we were able to lower the whole thing without much trouble.
: Due to excellent design, it sat exactly as it should have just like the CAD
: progam said it would. Once it was on, we had to make some cuts so that the
: frame could extend out the sides, the engine hood removed, the
: "cockpit" cut out for the seat placement.
: Once it was sitting there without any support, it was hard not to just sit
: back and admire. I'm sure the builder had the same feeling as I did. I
: couldn't wipe the grin off my face. Wow, it was like finding a men's
: magazine when we were boys and sharing it around the schoolyard.
: Since the photo, the hood has been removed, the cockpit has been cut, the
: floorboards and internal board frames inserted, which give it structural
: support. We have decided to try and make our own molding for the edges and
: steam bend them to take the curves. they will be epoxied on the edges.
: Within the next few weeks, it should be ready for it's inaugural roll out of
: the shop into the daylight for better photos.
Rod;
Now that is really cool, very nice job. What a nice piece to go cruzing down the road in.
