You are absolutely right! This is what happens when one orders too many yards of dirt and concrete. 27 cubic feet in a cubic yard versus 9 square feet in a square yard. Thank you for catching this. I also never order for just one boat. I try to get a big enough roll to get a good price break. I was generally going with total yards that would be on the boat, but when you are ordering a yard length by the width needed you end up getting more "yards"...because of it being figured by the length. So...anyway...figuring under the corrected figures (don't forget I'm old and senile)...we would end up with 18 yards of cloth and epoxy on the boat...plus a lot of scrap pieces to be use in other strategic areas and projects. Now the difference would be more like 36 oz. plus a few ounces of epoxy when comparing 4 oz. cloth to 6 oz. Hmmmm...seems a little more worthwhile.
