For my 17' X 20" Sea Spirit Hybrid (3mm Okoume hull, cedar strip deck), I used the RAKA 3.25 oz. (T)Fiber Cloth, and 6 0z X 2" glass tape on the seams.
One cloth layer on each side of the strip deck.
Two cloth layers on the inside of the hull in the cockpit area only.
Two cloth layers on the outside of the hull.
Tape on all the inside hull seams.
Tape on the outside seam joining the deck and hull.
The kayak completely outfitted weighs 38lbs. It has stood up very well so far. The 3.25 oz. (T)Fiber Cloth required more patience and care while filling and sanding than the normal weave, but for me, it was well worth it.
I liked the cloth so well that I'm in the process of building another one with it.
